Designer Cottage was a sailors’ retreat in the 70s and is located in peaceful surroundings just off Colombo Street opposite Sydenham Park. Chet is passionate about preserving heritage landscapes, and over the years has made many improvements on his block of cottages. All combined, the effect is that of a very creative, bed and breakfast homestay with secret gardens and cat mascots.

The guest rooms share the self-contained cottage and gardens, which display Chet’s collections of the charms of yesterday. Guests are welcome to view the Designer Village and hear his stories about the cottage and landscaping designs.
