Located 240 kms north of Auckland, the Bay of Islands is an area of 26 islands scattered around the bay. The area is in the very centre of Northland, with 3 popular destinations: romantic Russell, historic Kerikeri and lively Paihia. About three kilometres inland from there is Haruru Falls, a small residential settlement, and home to BayStay B&B and Bay of Islands Campervans.
Rob and Niek operate the motorhome hire company and are hosts at the Bed & Breakfast, and are just about the best ambassadors around for the Bay of Islands, their home for a decade.
At the B&B, there are two quiet rooms for a sound sleep, complete with free wirless and free bubbles on arrival. Be sure to soak in the spa pool overlooking the river after a day of visiting the local attractions or swimming with the dolphins. After a great breakfast, you can go select a motorhome and set out to explore the rest and best of the region.

You can drop the campervan anywhere on the North or South Island by prior arrangement, which is just the tip of the iceberg as far as benefits of hiring your recreational vehicle with Niek and Rob. No worries about hidden extras; their package has many standard features like a gas BBQ and GPS navigation (which the competition calls optional extras).
